The impact of agricultural technique acts and evinces in a lot of domains: assists for improvement of labor productivity, efficient usage of other production inputs, fulfillment of agro-technical requirements in optimal frontiers, amelioration of labor conditions, and so forth. The achievement of maximum effect from the utilization of technique in the agricultural production in the above-mentioned domains is possible only if the necessary quantity and quality of agricultural technique is ensured. The common trend delineated by the analysis (in almost all groups) is a steady decrease in the quantity. The average annual decrease (increase) in the case of tractors is - 7.1% (including chain tractors - -15.9%, and wheel tractors - -7.1%) and in the case of combines - +3.5% (including grain combines - +6.6%, and silage combines - -23.5%). The relative share of the registered and passed through the technical inspection agricultural machines has been increasing each year but still the bigger part of the available technique remain away from official registration and annual technical inspections. Generally, over the investigated period, the average lag in tractor registration is 17.4%, whereas for passing through the technical inspections the lag is 38.9%; regarding combines, the counterpart lags are 5.4% (for registration) and 35.6% (for technical inspection). The relative share of machines with usage span up to 7 years is from 0.3% up to 16.3%, while for chain tractors, self-prompted chassis, self-prompted silage combines and trailers, it is over 98%. Along with that, the quality of the new purchased technique is derisory, as for the tractors (from 9 up to 176 numbers regarding the type) for combines (from 18 up to 37 numbers regarding the type). The analysis of the state in terms of available machinery and provision of the production with it assumes that the data, which is used for evaluation of the machinery-tractor capital (MTC) is not sufficiently relevant and thorough. There is devoid of plausible records regarding the available machinery that allow carrying out a more profound analysis of the resource “agricultural technique” and that to help initiation of financial programs for renovation of MTC in Bulgarian agriculture. The goal of this study is to elaborate the state of the available machinery-tractor capital (MTC), being revealed the existing problems after implemented changes and being set forth recommendations for its improvement.
Key words: agricultural engineering, effective using of agricultural engineering, status of agricultural engineering.
