According the conditions of the market economy, is vital to maintain and improve the efficiency of production and competitiveness of enterprises. The vine-growing as an important and traditional sector of Bulgarian economy is very important being achieved high level of production competitiveness. There are a lot of opinions what it means - competitiveness of an enterprise. A lot of authors examine competitiveness of enterprise using the competitiveness of its production. According to them, the enterprise is involved in social division of labor. Therefore, to estimate the level of competitiveness of enterprise it's necessary to use its production as a basis. Other authors exanime competitiveness of enterprise using as criteria the effectiveness of production, the degree of adaptability of enterprise to the changes of business climate, the rent ability of production and etc. The purpose of present research is to estimate the level of competitiveness of different types of enterprises - producers of wine and table grape. Along with that, it is interested to determine the influence of different vine-growing enterprises to the level of competitiveness of production of grape. There have been examined 240 enterprises situated in Southern vine-growing region of Bulgaria registered in regional department of National Vitiviniculture Chamber as producers of wine and table grape. Methodical framework is constructed to study the rate of competitiveness of different groups of enterprises using the following methods: developed inquiry, index method (using various indicators), method of multi-comparative analysis and ANOVA. As the main indicator showing the level of competitiveness was selected - index of competitiveness of enterprise: I coe= PAV x COPR x IOP x LP x EDC. Index of competitiveness of enterprise was assumed as a result indicator. It was estimated as multiplication of various reason indicators. The determining indicators are reckoned being: productive age of vineyards (PAV), rate of concentration of production (CORP), rate of intensification of production (IOP), labor productiveness (LP) and efficiency of direct costs (EDC). The results show a high level of fragmentation of vineyards in Southern vine-growing region. Not very high average yields and detriment age structure of the surveyed vineyards. There is a lack of symmetry and balance between the demand and supply in the market.
