The market capacity of the Bulgarian tobacco is according to experts' analysis significantly restricted. The annual cigarette production is three times less than the capacity of its equipment.
To retain all factors in function is an ambition significantly menacing to drive to bankruptcy the entire branch. Therefore, it is recommended that the factories of small production capacity be closed. The summarizing conclusion is that the will to have an efficient tobacco industry after Bulgaria's accession to the EU could be contended by concentration of cigarette production in maximum two enterprises. This will allow the efforts to move to optimizing the production costs and improving the technological parameters.
Throughout the pratice of the strategic management an important place is assigned to the idea of elaborating of a special document known as mission of the organization. The elaboration of such a mission at the branch and at Bulgartabac's firm level is the first basic element which is to attend the option of the fundamental strategic attitudes and goal of the development of the branch and Bulgartabac Ltd., which are to be oriented toward the firm's internationalization.
